A Home, Hotel, Coffee Shop & The YWCA
Back in 2011, Pastor Tim and Nadine Rust started Destiny Church at a home in Grand Island, Nebraska. They had shared dream for Destiny to be a church filled with heartfelt praise and worship that touches heaven and changes earth. A few months after starting Destiny, the church outgrew the home, and moved to the Border's Hotel. While the hotel worked for a while, Destiny members wanted their own building to host services and reach the community, so a coffee shop was purchased in 2012, and converted into a new gathering place for Destiny members. Several years later, Destiny outgrew the coffee shop, so service was held at the YWCA until a new building was found.

A Mechanic Shop to Our Home
In August of 2016, a new building (a mechanic shop) was found and the coffee shop was sold. Volunteers and construction workers then worked to transform the mechanic shop into a place Destiny members could call home.
On October 31, 2016, Destiny officially acquired the building with construction ending around March of 2017. In April of 2017, the first official service was held at Destiny's current location - 4306 West U.S. Highway 30, Grand Island, Nebraska 68803.

pastor tim's dream
- I have a dream to see a church that always has heartfelt praise and worship that touches heaven, changes earth, and exalts Jesus Christ through powerful songs and drama of faith and hope.
- I have a dream to see a church that is so dependent on the Holy Spirit that nothing will stop nor stand against it; a church whose people are unified, praying, and full of the Holy Spirit.
- I have a dream to see a church whose message is so clear that lives are changed forever and potential is filled through the power of His Word.
- I have a dream to see a church so compassionate that people are drawn from impossible situations into a loving and friendly circle of hope, where answers are found and acceptance is given.
- I have a desire to see people so Kingdom minded that they count whatever the cost and pay whatever the price to see revival sweep Grand Island and other communities in Nebraska.
- I have a dream to see a church so committed to raising, training, and empowering leaders to reap the end harvest, and that all ministries are consumed with this goal.
- I have a dream to see a church whose head is Jesus, whose help is the Holy Spirit, and whose focus is on the great commission.
